Betta Fish Testing for Aggression

Check out our ethologists busy at work!  They are studying animal behaviors of betta fish, including fin flashing, raising gill covers, beating pelivc fins, having a coloration change, facing his/her reflection, and biting. Observations are recorded in ethograms.  All data collected will be presented to the class to see the aggressiveness of each fish.  Next we will do mate choice testing!  The kids are doing so well and having a blast!  This is what discovery learning is all about!!
