Grand Opening of Outdoor Classroom

We are proud to announce the grand opening of our outdoor classroom in Jay!  This labor of love was started by Mr. Jeff Orr, with Cindy Sloan, Cindi Collins, and Cindy Shero helping every step of the way.  They asked Room 8 to get involved by building something in the outdoor classroom.  Our class picked out a location and designed and built a tree house!  The outdoor classroom has lots to offer, including a community garden, wetlands, Indian marbles field, volleyball courts, stick ball courts, horseshoe pit, gazebo area, and tree house.  Coming soon:  merry-go-round pump and hummingbird garden!  Please enjoy this wonderful gift.  It is located just west of the high school baseball field.  Like Cindy Sloan said, "This outdoor classroom is by the community, for the community!"
